Keep track of your internet data allowance before your package expires. Our free Internet Data Budget Tracker helps you record how much data you have used, calculate your remaining GB, and work out how much you can use each day until your package ends.
Enter your package allowance, billing dates, and current consumption to get started. The tracker is useful for limited mobile data packages, 4G and 5G connections, and capped broadband plans in Pakistan.
Start tracking your internet data below.
Data allowance planner Monitor your package allowance with the usage figures you enter. No account or network access required. Your allowance at a glance No data entered yet. Check consumption in your provider app or account, then log the additional data used. Avoid entering the same data twice. Used data = starting reading + usage entries dated within your chosen cycle. Daily allowance = remaining GB ÷ calendar days left, including today. Forecast = average GB used per elapsed day × total days in the cycle. The forecast is only an estimate and can be inaccurate when your usage changes or your starting reading does not cover the entire cycle. For manual estimates, this tracker converts 1 GB = 1,000 MB. Your provider's billing units, free allowances, fair-use limits, and expiry rules may differ. This tool does not read network traffic or ISP balances. Data is stored in this browser when storage is available, not sent to PTCLSpeedTest by the tracker. Browser data can be deleted; export your entries if you need a backup.Internet Data Budget Tracker

How to Use the Internet Data Budget Tracker
You can set up your data budget in a few simple steps.
- Enter your data allowance. Add the total GB included in your internet package. Replace the example value with the allowance shown by your provider.
- Add your existing usage. If you have already consumed some data during the billing cycle, enter that amount in the Already used field.
- Select your billing dates. Choose the start and end dates of your package.
- Enter your package cost (optional). Add the price in Pakistani rupees if you want to calculate the cost per included GB.
- Save your plan. Review your remaining data, daily allowance, and usage forecast.
- Record additional consumption. As you use more data, add new entries in MB or GB to keep your totals updated.
Each new usage entry should represent additional data consumed, not your entire cumulative balance. This prevents the same consumption from being counted twice.
Understanding Your Data Budget Results
The tracker displays several useful figures to help you manage a limited internet package.
Data Used and Data Remaining
Data used combines your starting usage amount with the additional entries recorded within your selected billing cycle.
Data remaining is the difference between your total package allowance and recorded consumption. Once your recorded usage reaches or exceeds the allowance, the remaining balance displays zero.
Daily Data Allowance
Your daily allowance shows how much of your remaining data you could use per calendar day until your package expires, including the current day.
For example, suppose you have a 100 GB package and have already used 65 GB, with 10 days remaining.
| Calculation | Result |
|---|---|
| Total package | 100 GB |
| Data consumed | 65 GB |
| Data remaining | 35 GB |
| Days remaining | 10 |
| Daily allowance | 3.5 GB |
To make your remaining 35 GB last, you would aim to use approximately 3.5 GB per day.
This is a planning allowance, not a restriction imposed on your connection. The tracker does not block internet access when you exceed it.
Usage Forecast
The forecast estimates your total consumption by the end of the billing cycle based on your average recorded usage per elapsed day.
If your estimated consumption is higher than your package allowance, you may need to reduce usage to avoid exhausting your included data early.
The forecast is not an exact prediction. Downloading large files, streaming videos, software updates, or changes in household usage can affect your actual consumption.
How to Check Your Internet Data Usage
This tracker relies on the data figures you enter manually. To obtain those figures, check the appropriate source for your connection.
Mobile internet: Open your network provider’s official app or account portal to check available data information. You can also review mobile data consumption in your Android or iPhone settings, although device figures may not match your provider’s billing records.
Home broadband: If your broadband package has a data limit, check the provider’s account dashboard or available usage information. Your router may also show traffic statistics, depending on its model and features. Router figures are not necessarily the same as your ISP’s billable usage.
For the most accurate package balance, use the information supplied by your internet provider.
Track Internet Data Usage Throughout the Month
You can return to the tracker whenever you want to record additional usage.
Enter the consumption amount, choose MB or GB, select its date, and optionally add a note such as Streaming, Downloads, or Online Classes.
The usage history allows you to review recorded entries and remove mistakes. You can also export your records as a CSV file for your own reference.
The calculator uses the decimal conversion of 1 GB = 1,000 MB. Your provider may use different accounting conventions or have specific package rules.
Managing Your Internet Data More Effectively
A data budget is useful only when it reflects how you actually use your connection.
If your remaining daily allowance is smaller than expected, consider reducing unnecessary large downloads, checking whether automatic updates are consuming data, and reviewing streaming quality settings.
For shared connections, remember that other phones, computers, televisions, and connected devices may consume the same package allowance.
You should also check your provider’s rules for separate app allowances, rollover data, promotional data, and package expiry. The tracker does not automatically account for those conditions.
Does the Tracker Automatically Detect Data Usage?
No. This is a manual data budgeting tool, not a live network monitor.
It cannot directly read your PTCL, Jazz, Zong, Ufone, or other provider’s account balance. It also cannot automatically measure the internet consumption of every device connected to your router.
The results depend on the allowance, dates, and consumption figures you provide.
How Your Tracking Records Are Saved
The tracker is designed to save your plan and usage entries in your current browser when browser storage is available.
Your records do not automatically synchronize between phones, computers, or different browsers. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or blocking browser storage may cause your records to disappear.
Use the Export CSV feature if you want a separate backup. The current version supports CSV export, but not CSV import.
Avoid entering account passwords or sensitive personal information into usage notes.
Plan Your Data Usage Before Your Package Expires
Whether you use a limited mobile package or a capped home internet connection, keeping track of your remaining GB can help you plan downloads, streaming, and everyday browsing.
Update your usage entries regularly and compare the estimated balance with your provider’s official records.
