Speed Test Evidence Report Builder

Organize the internet speed readings you have already measured, compare them with an entered plan speed, and prepare a printable report for your own records or an ISP complaint. This tool does not run a speed test or verify the results.

1. Connection details

Record the conditions of your tests. Leave optional details blank rather than guessing.

2. Enter test readings

Copy values from completed speed tests. Times are entered in Pakistan Standard Time (PKT, UTC+05:00). Use consistent test conditions where possible.

Download/upload: Mbps (megabits per second). Ping/jitter: ms (milliseconds). Packet loss: %. Up to 20 readings. Blank optional metrics are not treated as zero.

3. Supporting notes and screenshot

The screenshot is displayed in the printable report but is not included in the editable JSON file. Check screenshots for names, IP addresses and account information before sharing.

4. Create or save your report

The report is generated in this browser without an API call from this tool. Data is not automatically saved. Browser extensions, analytics or other plugins on the host site may have their own privacy behavior.

What Is a Speed Test Evidence Report?

A speed test evidence report is a record of internet performance measurements collected over time. It helps you document slow download speeds, unstable connections, high latency, or other problems before contacting your internet service provider (ISP).

Instead of relying on a single speed test screenshot, you can organize several readings, record the testing conditions, and compare the results with your advertised internet package speed.

The NetTools Pakistan Evidence Report Builder is designed for users of PTCL, Nayatel, StormFiber, Transworld, local broadband providers, and mobile internet services in Pakistan.

It does not perform speed tests itself. You enter results collected from a speed testing service.

How to Create Your Internet Speed Evidence Report

Step 1: Enter Your Internet Connection Details

Start by entering your ISP name and any relevant package information. You can also record your location, advertised download and upload speeds, connection type, device, Wi-Fi band, and whether a VPN was used.

If you already contacted your ISP, include the complaint or ticket reference number.

Only enter details you know. Optional fields can remain empty.

Step 2: Add Your Speed Test Results

Run an internet speed test using your preferred testing service and copy the results into the report builder.

For each test, record the date and time, download speed, and any available upload speed, ping, jitter, and packet loss measurements. You can also identify the testing provider and destination server.

The tool supports up to 20 test readings in one report. Dates and times are recorded in Pakistan Standard Time (PKT).

For a more useful comparison, collect readings during different periods, particularly when your connection is working normally and when you experience problems.

Step 3: Describe the Connection Problem

Use the notes field to explain what happened during testing.

Useful details include:

  • Slow internet during evening hours.
  • Video calls freezing or disconnecting.
  • Websites taking unusually long to load.
  • High ping during online gaming.
  • Differences between Ethernet and Wi-Fi performance.

You can attach one supporting speed test screenshot in PNG, JPEG, or WebP format, up to 3 MB.

Step 4: Generate and Download Your Report

Select Generate report to review the entered information and calculated results.

You can then use the available options to print or save the report as PDF, copy a text summary, export the readings as CSV, or download an editable JSON report.

The JSON file lets you reopen your saved report details later. Screenshots are not included in JSON or CSV exports, so retain the original image separately.

Understanding Your Speed Test Results

A useful report considers more than download speed alone.

MeasurementWhat it tells you
Download speed (Mbps)How quickly data is received from the test server
Upload speed (Mbps)How quickly data is sent to the test server
Ping or latency (ms)The measured round-trip response time
Jitter (ms)Variation in packet timing or latency
Packet loss (%)The percentage of tested packets that were lost

The report builder calculates averages from the values you provide. Missing optional measurements are not counted as zero.

If you enter your advertised package speed, it also calculates how your average measured download or upload speed compares with that entered figure.

These calculations are descriptive, not a pass-or-fail assessment of your internet package.

How to Collect More Reliable Evidence

For more meaningful comparisons, try to keep the testing method consistent. Use the same device, testing service, and server where practical.

An Ethernet connection can help distinguish Wi-Fi interference or weak wireless reception from wider internet connection problems.

If you normally experience problems over Wi-Fi, preserve those wireless results too. They show the conditions under which you experienced the issue.

Record the time of each test and whether downloads, streaming, VPN connections, or other devices were using the network.

Multiple results collected under documented conditions are generally more informative than one isolated reading. However, results from different test servers, devices, or connection methods should not be treated as directly equivalent.

Using Your Report for an ISP Complaint

If your internet connection repeatedly performs poorly, a documented report can help you explain the problem to your provider.

When contacting your ISP, describe the symptoms, identify when they occur, and provide relevant speed test readings. Include your complaint reference number if one has already been issued.

Keep the original test screenshots and any messages exchanged with the provider.

Important: This report is a user-prepared record. It is not an officially certified measurement, does not establish the cause of a connection problem, and does not by itself prove a breach of service terms. Your ISP may request additional tests using its own troubleshooting process.

Privacy and Data Handling

The Evidence Report Builder processes entered report information in your browser. The tool itself does not submit the entries to a NetTools Pakistan reporting database or send them to an ISP.

However, the wider website, browser extensions, analytics scripts, and other installed services may have separate data-handling behavior.

Your entries are not automatically saved for a future visit. Download the editable JSON file or save your printable report before closing the page.

Avoid entering passwords, account numbers, identity card numbers, or other unnecessary personal information. Check screenshots and generated reports before sharing them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this report for PTCL or another internet provider?

Yes. You can organize measurements from PTCL or other broadband and mobile internet services. Whether a provider accepts the report as supporting evidence depends on its procedures.

Does this tool automatically test my internet speed?

No. It builds a report from measurements you enter manually. You must run the tests separately.

Can I save the report as a PDF?

Yes. Select Print / Save PDF and choose your browser’s PDF destination if available.

Can I edit a report later?

Yes. Download the editable JSON file and import it into the report builder later. Any screenshot must be attached again.

Is the evidence report officially issued by PTCL or PTA?

No. NetTools Pakistan is an independent website and this is a self-reported evidence document, not an official certificate from PTCL, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, or another provider.
